Boxers Needing Homes

The following are Boxers in need of a home. These are dogs in shelters, some which are high kill facilities, and some are with other rescue organizations. If your perfect companion can not be found with St. Louis Boxer Rescue, please consider checking out these homeless dogs. Check these pages daily as we will add Boxers when we learn they are available for adoption and remove them when no longer available.

Homer

Homer_Heartland_HS

Homer-Boxer, this distinguished guy was in a rural pound shivering in the cold. He has no meat on his bones for insulation and his thin, short coat wasn't providing much warmth. The pound had outdoor only runs with a doghouse, so there wasn't much hope for warming up which must have been painful on those old bones. Actually we aren't sure of his age yet - we still need to have our vet check him out and give us their educated guess. But Homer is much happier being indoors with a nice comforter to snuggle on and he shows that appreciation with a tail that wags his whole happy body. The wonderful thing about adopting an older pet is they are much calmer, housebroken and just happy to be your companion. Do you have a place in your heart and home for this handsome older guy?
