Quinn is a petite fawn Boxer girl with a docked tail and naturally floppy ears. She is approximately 7 months old. She's slightly underweight at 32 lb.
Quinn had been picked up as a stray in the county and taken to the county shelter. When no one came to claim her, we took her into our rescue. This is one little doll baby! She is adorable and is incredibly sweet. At first, she was intimidated by all the bigger dogs in her foster homes. Every time one of the dogs would approach her, she would run to her foster mom. Days later, though, she is running with the pack and having loads of fun playing with the other dogs. She's holding her own but yet knows when to be respectful of the others. She came to us with kennel cough but is being treated for this and is recovering well. She is spunky, playful and full of energy. She runs like a deer! We were told that she had shown up in animal control twice before but we're not sure if she is a fence jumper or if her previous family was just not responsible in keeping her contained in their yard. We often hear stories of gates not being kept closed or of family members not keeping a front doorway closed. With Quinn, we just don't know as her foster home has a 6' wooden privacy fence and is mindful of gates and doorways. One way or another, this is something to consider with this little gal. We don't yet think that Quinn is 100% housetrained but think she has a pretty good handle on it. She's had a few accidents, but her foster mom feels those accidents can be blamed on herself for not picking up on Quinn's signals. Quinn is now up to date on her vaccines, has tested heartworm negative, is now microchipped and is scheduled to be spayed soon. Quinn already knows a few basic commands and seems very smart. We feel that she will make an excellent companion.
