UPDATE 5/23/10: James is simply awesome! He is incredibly sweet and loves everyone! He loves to play fetch! James knows several commands and is a well behaved boy. He is steadily gaining weight.


Meet James!

James is a handsome fawn Boxer boy that is approximately 1-1/2 years old. At 38 lb, he is very underweight.

James had been found as a stray in the county. When no one came to claim him at the shelter, we were called. This poor guy has had a rough go of it. Apparently he had a minor brush with a car and has some abrasions and bruising on his front paws. He has missed far too many meals and now has an upper respiratory infection, too. In spite of this, James is incredibly sweet. He already knows, "sit" and "down". He seems to get along with other dogs well and so far has been friendly with everyone he has encountered. James rides well in the car, is well behaved for his baths, and was a very good boy at the vet's office.  As we get to know more about James, we will update here.

Securely fenced yard only. St. Louis and surrounding areas within 50 miles only. We do reference checks. Home visit required prior to adoption. $250.00 adoption fee.
