Garth is a very cute young Boxer boy, who is about 9 months old. He is fawn with natural ears and a docked tail. At almost 50lb he is pretty skinny and does needs to gain a few pounds.

Garth came to us after he was picked up by animal control, and was unclaimed at the shelter. Apart from being so handsome, Garth is also a really sweet boy, and very affectionate - he loves to snuggle and give kisses. He is also very playful, and likes playing with his toys on his own, or with his foster sister. He gets along great with other dogs and loves all people. He seems to be a pretty smart dog too. When he came to us he was not housetrained, not crate trained and did not seem to know any basic commands. But in just 2 weeks, he has already learned his name and some basic commands. He has also been doing well with crate training, and stays in his crate well, with no accidents in his crate for over a week. We are still working on his house training though - he has learned the basic concept, but hasn't fully caught on to letting people know in advance when he needs to go outside, and sometimes doesn't quite make it in time! He has already made such a good start in a short period of time though, and hope he will be fully housetrained in another week or two. Garth is microchipped and up to date on all his shots. He is scheduled to be neutered in a couple of weeks. Updates will follow as Garth settles in and his skills improve.
